As a staff specialist at the Royal Hospital for Women and a Specialist at the Prince of Wales Private Hospital , I have a particular interest in optimizing the management of labor and birth.
At the Royal Hospital for Women I chair the Maternity Adverse Events Committee and also provide detailed feedback to individual women who require debriefing regarding their birth. Both of these roles emphasis the enormous physical and emotional impact birth can have on women.
The importance of continuity of care and individualizing care to meet each woman’s needs is regularly raised through this work. I am therefore pleased to be able to offer women both continuity and individualized care through my private practice.
I am equally happy to care for low risk and high risk pregnancies and have admitting rights at both the Royal Hospital for Women and Prince of Wales Private Hospitals.
All consultations take place at the Specialist Consulting Rooms located in the Randwick Hospital Campus Centre, Barker Street Randwick 2031. You may book at either the Royal Hospital for Women or at the Prince of Wales Private Hospital.
As all of these locations are co-located I am usually close by if need urgently. Happily I live nearby at Coogee and can attend after hours calls promptly.
Although I do most of the deliveries of women I care for , I do share call with other like minded and skilled female obstetricians in a group practice :Dr Siobhan Lee, Dr Dhara Karunaratne and Dr Louise Fay. If I am away or sick one of these doctors covers in my absence.
